This week, our content creator Melanie Hamann from Art by Melanie brings us this quick and easy tutorial using our best selling brushes, French Tip and Lil’ Frenchie. Let’s get started!!
Melanie grabbed a door panel with a raised, carved surface, our French Tip and Lil’ Frenchie brushes, Paint Pixie Magical Chaulk Paint in Mudd Pie and Marshmallow, and our Liquid Pixie Dust in White Sand.
First, Melanie base coated the entire panel using the French Tip and the Magical Chaulk Paint in Mudd Pie.
After letting the base coat dry, Melanie grabbed the Magical Chaulk Paint in Marshmallow. Using Lil’ Frenchie, Melanie got some paint on the brush, then used a paper towel to offload some of the paint, achieving a dry brush effect on the door panel.
After the Magical Chaulk Paint in Marshmallow dried, Melanie wanted just a little sparkle, so she pulled out her Liquid Pixie Dust in White Sand to give it a light dry brush effect again. The result is beautiful!!
